Provider Bio

Amelia received a graduate degree in Elementary Education from Fordham University in 2001. She earned her Education Specialist Degree from Piedmont College in 2012. She has taught in public school throughout her twenty-five year career in education. Amelia has experience teaching first through eighth grades at schools in New York, Colorado, and Georgia. Amelia is currently a third grade teacher in Atlanta, but has previously served as a reading interventionist.
Amelia is a Fellow with the Orton Gillingham Academy (OGA). In addition to her OGA certification, Amelia earned the CERI Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist certification and completed the Dyslexia Endorsement through Middle Georgia RESA. She also serves on the board of the International Dyslexia Association - Georgia Branch as vice president.
