Janelle Kenny-Johnson holds a Master's Degree in Education from Nova Southeastern
University and is a Structured Literacy Teacher certified by the International Dyslexia
Association. She has nearly two decades of experience in the education sector,
commencing her career in Florida, where she taught Social Studies and Math. Her
experience expanded to include Language Arts and Technology teaching in Wisconsin
and New Jersey. As an Orton Gillingham department member at The Craig School in
New Jersey, she utilized the IMSE Orton Gillingham methodology to teach Reading
and Language Arts to students in grades 2-8.
Ms. Kenny-Johnson's dedication to education extends beyond the classroom. She is a
Level 4 Master Instructor at the Institute of Multi Sensory Education, where she
provides training, coaching, and consultation to teachers across the nation in the
IMSE Orton Gillingham approach and methodology. Furthermore, she has served as
an online adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Kenny-Johnson and her husband, Michael, currently reside in New Jersey. They
have four children, and she enjoys traveling the country to support the teachers and
students. Most weekends, you can find Mrs. Kenny Johnson at her children's
sporting events, including ice hockey, field hockey, Lacrosse, and horseback riding.
