Provider Bio

Deena Oltar is an experienced educator with five years of teaching in New Jersey. She
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education from
Rutgers University. Certified in both general and special education at the elementary
level, Deena is also a CERI-certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist and
Orton-Gillingham Certified. She specializes in providing individualized reading and
writing instruction, particularly for students with learning difficulties. Currently, Deena
teaches special education in an inclusion setting in Highland Park, NJ, where she
supports students’ academic and personal growth. In addition, she supervises
educators working toward their Orton-Gillingham certification, guiding them through their
practicum to develop their skills in structured literacy. With additional training in
Responsive Classroom, Deena is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive
learning environment for all students.
