Provider Bio
Tara specializes in providing language-rich, individualized, and structured literacy instruction to kindergarten through middle-school students. She is a Structured Literacy Therapist with District Kids: Center for Minds and Hearts. Through her firsthand experience as a parent and her work in schools, she is also deeply committed to partnering with parents and caregivers, enabling them to effectively collaborate with teachers and other related professionals to support their children’s educational journey. Prior to her current role, she served as an ESOL teacher, as an academic and career advisor to J.D. students, and as a government attorney. She received her A.B. from Brown University in history, her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and an M.A. in special education:learning disabilities from American University.
