Karol Ann Moore serves as the Director of Research and Associate Vice President of Curriculum and Instruction at Neuhaus Education Center (NEC). Dr. Moore completed her doctoral study at Texas A&M University with an endorsement in Advanced Research Methods. Her research focuses on dyslexia identification for both monolingual and emerging bilingual populations, effective interventions for students with dyslexia or at risk for reading difficulties, and teacher knowledge. Dr. Moore recently published an article entitled “A Cross Orthographic View of Dyslexia Identification” and has several other notable publications on teacher knowledge and aspects of structured literacy. Dr. Moore is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist, Certified Academic Language Therapist, and Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist with a variety of educational experiences serving as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and instructional coach. She currently serves as a consulting editor for Annals of Dyslexia and as an advisor for the New York City Public Schools Literacy Advisory Council. In an effort to maintain her skills and inform her research, Dr. Moore continues to serve students with dyslexia in private therapy.
