Jennifer Padgett, M. Ed., has been in the field of education for thirty years, teaching reading and writing at all grade levels. In 2011, she completed a literacy master's and soon after, became a K-12 reading specialist, working with the dyslexia population in addition to coaching and consulting. For four years, Jennifer trained teachers across the United States with a nationally accredited Orton Gillingham program. During this time, she co-authored a white paper entitled, Science of Literacy: Introducing the Literacy Knot and had the honor of presenting this research at the IDA Conference in 2023. Currently, she is doing some independent consulting and is always looking for ways to support schools as they travel the road of teaching literacy, using the plethora of research that has been around for many years.
