I grew up in northern Virginia, but in 2015 my husband's job relocated us to Alabama and we have loved living here ever since. I started my journey in education after finding out my son was dyslexic in 2018. I attended training at Greengate School in Huntsville to learn how to teach using the Orton-Gillingham multisensory method. Through this experience I developed a deep passion for wanting to help others who struggle with reading difficulties. I have worked as a tier 3 interventionist, collaborative special education teacher, and now currently as a reading specialist.
