I received my Masters in Exceptional Student Education - Educational Therapy through Southeastern University. Helping students 'grow' their brain and learn 'how to learn' is my passion. When my own children were learning to read I was sure that as an educator I could offer them the support they needed to become great readers and thinkers. However, when one of my children struggled greatly with learning to read I began a journey of finding research-backed information on how to teach reading to children who don't connect easily with the reading process. Now that I've learned so much and am a C-SLDS, I love working one on one with students and experiencing their joy as a successful reader. I've also been able to share both
here in the USA as well as internationally at both teacher and parent workshops, helping others understand the process of reading and learning. Everyone can strengthen their brain!
