Provider Bio

I earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from Babson College in 1998 and my M.Ed from UMass Boston through the Boston Teacher Residency Program in 2009. I have been a teacher in Boston Public Schools for over 15 years, primarily in the areas of Special Education and ESL, working with grades 3 - 8. Currently I am a Reading Interventionist at Boston Arts Academy. Prior to my work in education, I had a career in Corporate America for over 10 years. In addition to teaching, I am a figure skating coach and official, as well as President and Founder of Elevate Figure Skating Club, an no profit that focuses on creating paths for diverse youth to enter the sport of figure skating and hockey, sports where they have faced barriers to entry. I also have worked in education policy through Teach Plus. I have my licenses in Special Education K - 12, ESL K -12, Elementary Education, and Middle School Math.
