Katie McCue is a passionate and dedicated educator with 20 years experience as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, grant coordinator, and literacy specialist. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching with an ELL endorsement and is currently working on her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, she is a certified K–12 Reading Teacher and Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist.

Katie believes that every child can learn to read with the right instruction and support. She specializes in structured literacy and works especially well with students who need extra support, including those with dyslexia and other reading challenges. Her approach is systematic, explicit, and personalized which helps students build strong foundational skills while also growing their confidence and love of learning.

Families appreciate Katie’s calm, encouraging style and her ability to break learning down into manageable, successful steps. She partners closely with parents to ensure they understand their child’s progress and feel supported along the way.

Beyond teaching, Katie is deeply involved in promoting literacy in her community. She serves on the board of Raising Readers in Wyoming and supports local schools through the Cody Schools Education Foundation.

Katie believes, as Kofi Annan said, “Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope.” She is committed to helping every child cross that bridge with confidence and a strong foundation for lifelong success.
