I hold a Master's in Education with a specialization in Special Education from Temple University. For over a decade, I served as a Special Education Teacher in Palm Beach County, working with students with varying exceptionalities. During this time, I realized that many of my students were struggling with foundational reading skills, which led me to pursue certification as a Dyslexia Practitioner. Eager to deepen my expertise, I later obtained my certification as a Dyslexia Therapist through a group practicum and 1:1 practicum in advanced structured literacy. Currently, I work as a reading specialist, supporting students in both school settings and through private practice with intensive intervention in structured literacy. I currently serve as secretary on the executive board International Dyslexia Association-Florida Branch.
