Kari Baker, M.Ed. is a Fellow-in-Training and Certified member of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. She brings over 15 years of experience in the Structured Literacy approach, combining classroom teaching, intervention, and educator training. Kari has empowered hundreds of educators through professional development focused on evidence-based practices for teaching students with dyslexia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and is deeply committed to advancing Structured Literacy in schools and communities.
As both an educator and an individual with dyslexia, Kari brings personal insight and professional expertise to her work. She is a passionate advocate for inclusive, explicit, and systematic instruction. Kari firmly believes that the Orton-Gillingham approach—rooted in Structured Literacy—can transform reading outcomes for all learners, not just those with dyslexia.
