Kristy NadlerStructured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist
Provider Bio
I am an Instructional Coach for English Language Arts and Social Studies in the South Orangetown Central School District in New York, where I support PreK–5 teachers in literacy instruction, curriculum development, and professional learning. With more than 25 years of experience in education, I have served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, interventionist, and instructional coach.
I am passionate about improving literacy outcomes for all students through evidence-based practices grounded in the Science of Reading. I recently completed my Advanced Certificate in School District Leadership at Mercy University and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Literacy at St. John’s University. I am also a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (SLDI), a designation awarded by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) that recognizes specialized expertise in providing structured literacy instruction and intervention for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. My work focuses on building equitable access to literacy, supporting educators, and creating engaging learning experiences that help all students become confident and successful readers.
