Provider Bio

Melissa Rae holds a master's degree in Special Education from University of Northern Colorado. She has twenty years of experience teaching children who learn differently. Melissa has worked with people who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism, apraxia, dyspraxia, cognitive impairments, and rare chromosomal disorders. She has been an elementary classroom teacher, special education teacher for grades K-12, and reading interventionist. She utilizes a variety of multi-sensory techniques to teach reading, spelling, math and writing to students ages three years old to adulthood. Her training and experience include Orton-Gillingham techniques (basic and advanced), Step Up to Writing, and Multisensory Math. Melissa is a Colorado native who enjoys spending time with her very active children and husband.
