Provider Bio

I have been enjoying helping young children learn since 1986, when I graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I spent many years as a regular classroom teacher, then moved into supporting struggling readers in the early grades. I also spent a decade as a traveling literacy coach throughout Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin, helping teachers in PreK through grade 2 differentiate their teaching to support their most at-risk learners. While all of those roles have been rewarding, my first love is working one-on-one with young readers who are struggling with literacy. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, playing the flute, baking sourdough bread, riding bikes and traveling with my husband, Wayne.
