Dr. Kathleen Theodore is an educational consultant and founder of Illuminate ED, LLC.
Dr. Theodore partners with educational systems to design and implement effective, equitable literacy practices that improve outcomes for all students. She is a literacy expert who has extensive experience in designing and implementing high-quality literacy plans, and job-embedded professional development for school leaders, literacy coaches, and teachers to improve instruction and achievement in grades PreK–3. Previously, Dr. Theodore served as a Senior Technical Assistance Consultant–Literacy for the American Institutes for Research where she assisted education systems with improving literacy instruction, intervention, and data use.
