I homeschooled my own children for many years, and it was through helping my two sons as they struggled to learn to read that I discovered the power of Structured Literacy. That experience inspired me to pursue formal training and certification in dyslexia intervention. In addition to homeschooling, I have also provided reading intervention in a public school setting, supporting students one-on-one. My experience in both homeschool and traditional school environments gives me a broad understanding of how students learn—and how to support them effectively.

• Other Professional Certifications Held: I am certified as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI) through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) and am qualified to implement the Orton-Gillingham approach through the Dyslexia Training Institute. I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Spanish and in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
