I am a certified literacy specialist (K–12) with over 30 years of experience as a primary classroom teacher. I am an IMSE Orton-Gillingham Certified Educator, with a strong focus on structured literacy and the science of reading. I am deeply passionate about teaching students to read and write using explicit, systematic, and data-driven instruction. I use ongoing assessment to guide my teaching and tailor lessons to meet each student’s individual needs.
In addition to working directly with students, I support and coach educators in implementing evidence-based literacy practices and structured literacy strategies in their classrooms. I am committed to helping all learners build strong foundational skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading.
