Amy is the dyslexia specialist for Step By Step Learning. She was a Level 5 Master Instructor, Practicum Supervisor, IDA Certified Dyslexia Therapist, and Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) with the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) from 2015- 2022). Prior to working with IMSE, Amy worked as a CALT with the Denton Independent School District. She has been providing direct dyslexia services to identified students in grades 2-12 since 2010. Prior to being a dyslexia therapist, she was an elementary classroom teacher grades 3-5, specializing in reading. Amy has been instructing all of IMSE’s coursework with rave reviews since her start. She has several years experience in coaching and mentoring teachers and districts in IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham.
