Elizabeth Kenny-Foggin works with children and adults, grades Pre-K through adulthood, for over 30 years, in the field of special education, focusing on Structured Language Literacy (Orton Gillingham [OG]). Currently, Elizabeth, an adjunct professor, works with undergraduate and graduate students at Fairleigh Dickinson University, teaching relevant topics in special education and Structured Language Literacy. In the Fall of 2014, Elizabeth was the recipient of the IMSLEC Innovator Award - Outstanding MSLE Teacher, presented at the 2012 International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC).
Additionally, Elizabeth works privately with students in elementary, middle, high school, and college level, to develop skills in structured language literacy (OG), including reading, writing, math, college and master’s level-prep testing.
As an independent educational consultant, Elizabeth works with students, parents, school districts, and organizations, developing Structured Language Literacy curriculum, presents parent and teacher workshops, and provides support services to teachers working with struggling readers and writers, in public and private schools.
Elizabeth is a successful teacher-author, providing multisensory resources, based on the principles and philosophy of Dr. Orton and Anna Gillingham, for individual, small group and whole class OG instruction, through the TeachersPayTeachers.com website. Elizabeth resides in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, with her husband, Ward, of 34 years and her younger daughter, Caitlin. Additionally, Elizabeth's older daughter, Maura is married and has blessed Elizabeth with a beautiful grandson, Auggie!
