Jenni Bruen is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, the most rigorous educational licensing program in the United States, with over 25 years experience as an educator. She has taught grades Kindergarten through 6 and led workshops for both teens and teachers. Most recently, she worked for 15 years as an Advanced Academics Resource Teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools. In this capacity, while identifying students for gifted services, she discovered a dichotomy. Many students who displayed gifted tendencies also struggled with reading and writing. This led her on a personal quest to understand dyslexia, in order to help all children unlock their full potential.

Jenni is licensed by the state of Virginia in both elementary and gifted education, is an IMSE Orton-Gillingham Level 3 Certified Master Instructor, trained in the Wilson Reading System and accredited by the International Dyslexia Association as a Structured Literacy teacher and Dyslexia Interventionist. She received her Bachelor of Science from New York University in Elementary Education, her Master of Science in Curriculum Development and Instruction from the State University of New York and a Teaching Endorsement in Gifted Education from the University of Virginia.

Most importantly, she is passionate about helping the children sitting in front of her to develop their natural gifts and achieve academic success.
