Grandmother of Trent, a Twice exceptional student who loves using a 3-D Printer and Ashlyn who is ready to enter college and aspires to be an Art Therapist. Mother of Jeff, an ER doctor, Krista studying speech pathology, and Don, a certified welding inspector. Grew up in a military family traveling all over the world and taught school for the Department of Defense. Studied Structured Literacy at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas with Aylett Cox and Luke Waites and at the Greenwood School with Louisa Moats. Co-founder of Rawson Saunders School for Dyslexics of Austin and served there as a CALT for eight years. Have had a CALT private practice for over thirty years. For the past four years, I have served as the Vice President of the IDA Austin, and am an "Orton Oak" serving on the local IDA board and a member of the International Dyslexia Association for over 30 years.
