Melissa Spangler is a Certified Academic Language Therapist with a Master of Arts in Education degree from Baldwin Wallace University. She completed her undergraduate work in Elementary Education at John Carroll University. Melissa has worked for the Rocky River City School District in Ohio since 2000. During that time she has worked as a Wilson Language Tutor at the high school, intermediate and middle schools. She is currently a Reading Teacher/Tutor at Rocky River Middle School. She is also the district’s Literacy Coordinator, In-District Wilson Language Trainer, Fundations Facilitator/Presenter and Just Words Facilitator/Presenter. Prior to teaching in the Rocky River City School District, Melissa taught Kindergarten and first grade at private schools in the Cleveland area. She is a Certified Academic Language Therapist, Wilson Dyslexia Therapist and Wilson Credentialed Trainer. Presently she is a member of the International Dyslexia Association and the Academic Language Therapy Association. Melissa also served as a board member of the Northern Ohio Branch of the International Dyslexia Association from 2013-2018.
