Suzann's been a reading specialist and teacher trainer in public schools for over 22 years. Since becoming a nationally certified dyslexia therapist, she was named Cowan Teacher of the Year & Austin ISD district Semi-Finalist in 2016, received the national Winslow Coyne Reitnouer Excellence in Teaching Award in 2017, and is a 2018 Semifinalist of the Texas statewide HEB Excellence in Education awards. She is Mom to a brilliant creative passionate child, an executive board member of IDA Austin, and co-founder of Raising Readers of Cowan. In her free time, she likes to cook and (of course) READ!
