I am currently a literacy instructional coach. My specialties are in all aspects of literacy (phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension), writing, data, and best implementation practices for learning mastery. I have taught in the classroom for 15 years with 9 of those years being a reading interventionist and the last four years I’ve been a Teacher on Special Assignment as a literacy instructional coach, which also includes leading and implementing systems for building teachers’ capacities in literacy based on data, research, and evidence-based practices. I am working on my Education Specialist Administration degree and own a tutoring business. I absolutely love teaching kids and seeing their skills and confidence grow as they learn to enjoy reading.
