Effectively teaching reading, spelling, and writing to students who have dyslexia has been my focus for over 25 years. I primarily implement the Slingerland Multisensory Language Approach, a proven approach to structured literacy, and individualize every session in a supportive atmosphere. I received an award from Palo Alto School District for my work with students who have learning differences. I currently serve as the president of the California Chapter of the Academic Language Therapy Association, a national organization with rigorous standards that certifies dyslexia interventionists. I continue my professional development ongoing as I know that an effective interventionist must be highly trained and must continue that training. I believe that literacy is a right for all people.
