Working in private education for 26 years, Dr. Kara A. Loftin is the Head of School at The Schenck School which serves students with dyslexia from kindergarten through 6th grade. She is also the Executive Director of ReadSource. After earning an MBA, Kara shifted focus to education earning an MEd in Special Education, Dyslexia Concentration, followed by a Ph.D. in Special Education. In 2013, she developed an executive function coaching program that evolved into a “school within a school.” She is particularly passionate about strengths-based education and promoting systems of inclusion for neurodiverse individuals.
