Megan TribbleStructured Literacy Classroom Teacher

Provider Bio

Megan Tribble is an Atlanta native whose career in education began with a move north to earn her M.S.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Her classroom experience sparked a deep passion for literacy, leading her to pursue an additional M.S.Ed. in Reading Curriculum & Instruction and an English Learner certificate from the University of Virginia.

After teaching in Philadelphia, Fairfax County, and NYC, Megan served as a reading specialist and language acquisition teacher at Lafayette Elementary from 2018 to 2024 and has served as a reading specialist consultant at St. Albans School since fall 2024.

In addition to thousands of hours of training on Orton Gillingham and the Science of Reading, she holds a reading specialist licensure in both Virginia and Washington, D.C. and is certified as a Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher (SLCT) by the International Dyslexia Association and the Center for Effective Reading Instruction.

Megan also contributes to the broader literacy community through her work on the Board of The Reading League – DC Chapter, which has a mission of translating reading research into classrooms, so all students can benefit from high quality and evidence aligned reading instruction. She lives in Tenleytown with her 3 year old son and husband.
