CERI is Hiring: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Opportunity

The Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) is hiring a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). See the following information and position description for details. 

CEO Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to lead a nationally respected nonprofit organization focused on advancing evidence-based literacy instruction through professional learning, credentialing, and strategic partnerships. CERI is seeking a mission-driven leader with experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and organizational operations to help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Organizational leadership and strategic execution
  • Financial and operational management
  • Partnership development and engagement
  • Board relations and governance support
  • Oversight of professional learning and credentialing initiatives

Qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in literacy, education, special education, or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in PreK–12 education
  • Strong operational, financial, and communication skills
  • Experience working within nonprofit or mission-driven organizations

Salary range: $80,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience.
