Kathy Denious, M.Ed., C-SLCT, is the founder of The Elle Center in Phoenix, Arizona, a practice that provides individualized structured literacy and numeracy intervention for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. A special education teacher by training, she has spent her career helping students with learning differences and supporting the families who love them.
Kathy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University and a Master of Education, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University. She holds the Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher certification through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction.
Before founding The Elle Center in 2024, Kathy ran a private practice in Paradise Valley for ten years and served K through 12 students in public and charter schools. She has presented at local and international conferences on the challenges and remediation of language-based learning disabilities, and she is a founding board member of The Reading League Arizona.
Kathy believes every child deserves to learn to read, and she approaches each family with warmth, clear communication, and instruction grounded in the science of reading.
