My teaching journey began as a homeschool mom teaching all subjects to my kids and others within our homeschool community, in 2013. Since 2017, I have focused on working with kids with reading and writing challenges from elementary through high school. I received an Associate Level Certification in January 2018, and have been thankful to apply what I have learned in the public and private sectors. I use the Orton-Gillingham explicit, structured, sequential, cumulative, systematic, diagnostic, prescriptive, and multi-sensory approach, whenever I work with a student. I use my creativity, resourcefulness, and evidence-based teaching approach in my instructional lessons to meet the unique needs of my students.
