Neal recently completed his first year as a Middle School Reading Special Education teacher. He earned a B.S.E in Elementary Education Unified from Pittsburg State University, and during his three years at Pitt State, Neal worked for the Center for Reading, as a Reading Interventionist. Neal holds licensure for K-6 General Education/High Incidence Special Education, pK-12 English for Speakers of Other Languages, and 5-8 Generalist (Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA). Neal is currently pursuing his Masters in Special Education from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Neal’s passion includes supporting students with reading disabilities through effective and meaningful Special Education services, establishing secondary-level frameworks for tiered reading instruction and support, as well as integrating literacy practices into content-specific courses.
