Christine Clark is a language and literacy reading specialist. She holds an MS in Language and Literacy from Simmons College. This Graduate Licensure program is one of only nine in the United that have met the International Dyslexia Association’s (IDA) Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading. Ms. Clark combines formal education as a special needs reading specialist/advanced training in language, and direct professional teaching experience in special education to bring evidence-based practices into public and private settings. Ms. Clark is trained as an educational diagnostician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of of language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. She is licensed by the state of MA in Reading (All Levels), Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8), and Elementary Education (grades 1-6). She is well-versed in many research-based structured language programs and has developed the Structure of Language(SOL) Language-Based Curriculum, an evidence-based methodology based on the latest scientific research of how children develop reading skills outlined by the National Reading Panel(NRP). Ms. Clark is particularly interested in the prevention of literacy difficulties through early intervention. She sees clients in her private practice in Weymouth in person and virtually. Ms. Clark also contracts with public and private schools to provide professional development and direct services for students in need. Ms. Clark's private practice, Reading Intervention Solutions (RIS) is an education-focused company that is changing the way children are taught to read, write, and process the English Language. The practice is founded on Ms. Clark's 28 years of professional experience creating specially designed instruction and delivery methodologies for the treatment of language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. Ms. Clark is
licensed by the state of MA in Reading (All Levels), Moderate Disabilities (PreK-12), and Elementary Education (grades 1-6). The specially designed instruction provided by Ms. Clark is individualized, evidence-based, and highly effective with rapid results that are recognized by the child's parents, teachers, and most importantly, the child him/herself. The mission of the company is built on the truth that, “Every child is capable of and deserves the right to be taught to read, write, and understand his/her/their world." Our primary purpose is to provide every child access to the right instruction/intervention at the right time, with the right intensity necessary to fulfill this mission.
