Jenny Van Remortel is the Primary Learning Strategies Teacher at Kingsway College School. An educator for over 30 years, she has been in her current role for 19 years. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher in grades one and two. She has achieved Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Part One training. She completed training in Direct Instruction (Reading Mastery, Corrective Reading, Expressive Writing) at the NIFDI conference in Eugene, Oregon and completed the Direct Instruction Coaching Institute through NIFDI in Atlanta, Georgia. She has had training in the Handwriting Without Tears programs. She holds a diploma from the CAIS (Canadian Association of Independent Schools) Leadership Institute in Independent School Leadership. Jenny volunteers on the parent support team at Dyslexia Canada.
