Provider Bio

My name is Julie Ellis and I have had the pleasure of working with children in grade kindergarten through 5th grade for the past 22 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Music from Georgia Southern University and a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Dual Immersion from Georgia State University. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Reading and Literacy from Capella University. In addition, I have an ESOL, Reading, and Leadership Endorsement. I am also an Orton Gillingham certified tutor as well as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist. I currently work as an ESOL teacher at a public school in Atlanta, Georgia. During the summers I am a Reading Specialist in a summer program called Horizons of Atlanta. It is my passion to help learners reach their potential, and feel confident in themselves and their abilities, so that they may be successful in life.
