It is a privilege to partner in the reading journey alongside students and their families. Each learner is unique, and filled with a multitude of experiences, special abilities, talents, interests, strengths, and challenges. Like an intricate jigsaw puzzle, each piece of growth further reveals their one-of-a-kind design. Education allows for this development and exploration of these attributes with the ability to speak, read, and write language at its fundamental core. As the written word unlocks and integrates with speech in a learner's mind, so does opportunity in all areas.
To facilitate this dynamic process, I utilize science-supported, research-based pedagogical practices of instruction, multi-sensory methods, and the learner's distinct profile. These factors are combined with diagnostic data to formulate a prescriptive learning program for the child's specific needs and goals and allows for efficient and effective acquisition of literacy.
Education is of great value, and I am grateful to have the formal education garnered from the studies resulting in a Bachelor’s in Education, a Masters in Reading, Orton-Gillingham Specialist Certification , and a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist certification. This knowledge, specialized training and skills, and desire to help and serve, forms the ever-widening repertoire I draw upon to best meet the needs of each mind, and hence, whole being.
