I am a veteran reading specialist with many certifications and credentials to support learners of all ages.
My name is Marla Prado and I'm here to support all your learning needs. Understanding literacy needs can be challenging; I’m here to lighten the load off your shoulders and provide in-depth information and knowledge about dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I’m an honest and positive professional whose first priority is always the interests of my clients; providing research-, evidence-, and efficacy-based best practices with capability, adaptability, and reliability. Since 2002, I’ve been serving literacy clients in the Inland Empire area - from early literacy into adulthood literacy needs, I’m here to support all ages with a variety of services, including dyslexia remediation, other reading differences, and advocacy for individual education plan support.
Experienced Reading Specialist and Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist well-versed in developing individual and group multisensory structured literacy instructional plans to improve reading and numeracy skills in students of all ages TK-12 + Adults. Proficient in Neuhaus Education Language Enrichment Program - an Orton-Gillingham approach method. Internationally certified by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist-Dyslexia Practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience in reading remediation, particularly with middle and high school students 4 or more years behind in reading level/skill. Offering 20 years of related reading instruction and interventions. Provides a safe learning environment that fosters the growth of students both academically and emotionally.
