Maureen C. Olsen, M.S., CCC-SLP, W.D.P. is an experienced and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist, certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, and Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist based in Schaumburg, IL. She treats children within the public and private school settings, as well as privately. She is especially passionate and experienced in helping children and adults with dyslexia conquer their reading struggles while improving their confidence and enjoyment of reading! She is certified in Wilson Reading System (an Orton-Gillingham based intervention scientifically proven to help people with dyslexia), certified by the International Dyslexia Association, a licensed member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Illinois Department of Federal and Professional Regulation, Illinois Board of Education Professional Educator, as well as a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association, Everyone Reading Illinois, and is a member of the Dyslexia Buddy Network for parents and their children with dyslexia. Maureen is a Learning Ally Specialist and tutor that is qualified to approve children to receive accommodations such as audiobooks with Learning Ally, as well as Bookshare. Maureen is also a proud mother of a child with dyslexia.
