Changes to Alternate Route Application Period

Effective immediately, the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) will only accept Alternate Route applications for the Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (SLDI) and the Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist (SLDS) levels of certification from July 1^st through September 30^th of each year. For 2020, Alternate Route applications can be submitted through September 30^th. After Sept. 30^th, 2020 the next round of applications will be accepted beginning July 1^st, 2021 and will continue until September 30^th, 2021. Please note that this policy pertains only to Alternate Route applications and does not affect applications through the standard route.
