Linda Rhyne

Chief Executive Officer

Linda Rhyne is the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), where she leads the organization’s work to strengthen reading instruction through evidence-based professional learning, educator support, and high-quality implementation.

A nationally recognized literacy leader and consultant, Linda brings more than 19 years of experience in education, including classroom teaching, literacy leadership, instructional coaching, district-level support, and school administration. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has advanced training in LETRS and Orton-Gillingham, along with graduate degrees in reading and education. Her work sits at the intersection of the science of reading, instructional practice, coaching, and systems-level implementation.

Before joining CERI, Linda founded Linda Rhyne Consulting, where she partnered with schools, districts, and literacy organizations to build stronger instructional coaching systems and translate research into sustainable practice. She is also the founding president of The Reading League North Carolina a statewide nonprofit with a mission to advance evidence-aligned literacy instruction for all students.

As CEO of CERI, Linda is committed to helping ensure that educators have access to rigorous, research-aligned learning and the support needed to translate that knowledge into effective reading instruction for every student.
